SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS
I enjoy sharing my experiences with organizations of all kinds!
For Filipino and Asian Pacific American organizations, I speak on Southeast Asian History, Philippines History and how history shapes our mindset in the Filipino diaspora. I also touch on being a 2nd generation Fil-Am father of three kids and husband to a 2nd gen Fil-Am woman.
As a 1995 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient for service to the Asian Pacific American community at The University of Michigan, I have a special place for Filipino and APA student groups at high schools and universities!
For writing organizations, I speak on craft and challenges of writing, specifically when a writer has many other responsibilities in life.
For bookstores and libraries, I speak specifically on the characters and plot in my novel Enlightenment, The Bathala Series, the Young Adult market and my journey as writer.
For professional organizations, I speak on my personal journey and how I stay focused and motivated in our fast-paced world.
I request the host to cover travel, lodging and meals and provide an honorarium fee. I’ll do all I can to work within your organizational budget.
